Arsenal have made a second world-record bid of almost £500,000 to Manchester United for England forward Alessia Russo.
United remain unwilling to lose Russo but the offer has increased the pressure on the Women’s Super League leaders before the transfer deadline of 17:00 GMT on Tuesday.
