Arsenal could make a surprise move to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante on a free transfer.
The Frenchman has been a key player for the Blues but his game time has reduced lately due to injury problems.
His current deal expires at the end of the season and 90min claim that the Gunners are open to landing his services.
The north London giants tried to sign him from Chelsea in January but ended up landing his teammate in Jorginho.
They are now prepared to make a fresh approach but Chelsea remain optimistic that the midfielder will stay.
Talks have been ongoing between them and Kante over a renewal and they are hopeful of him penning an extension.
Kante has started two of the last four league games for Chelsea following his return from a long-term hamstring issue.
He could make the starting line-up on Tuesday night when Chelsea make the trip to the Emirates Stadium to face the Gunners.
