Chelsea have no plans of signing RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku before the end of the season.
The Blues have had a difficult Premier League campaign thus far and they are currently eight points behind the top four.
As a result, they are searching for attacking reinforcements for January, but Nkunku is unlikely to join them.
The Blues have already reached a pre-agreement with Leipzig for Nkunku. They are expected to trigger his €60m release clause in June.
The club have the opportunity to bring forward the deal to January by paying a higher transfer fee, but are unlikely to do so.
Nkunku suffered a knee injury in training with France before the World Cup and this has ruled him out for around eight weeks.
With this in mind, Chelsea don’t want to bring him to Stamford Bridge early and prefer him to continue his recovery at Leipzig.
Apart from Nkunku, the Blues are also trying to sign his teammate Josko Gvardiol from Leipzig at the end of the campaign.
