Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Christian Eriksen could make his injury comeback this month.
The Dane sustained a serious ankle injury towards the end of January and it was initially predicted that he could return in May.
However, he has made a quicker recovery and Ten Hag has revealed that he could be back in team training as early as next week.
He said: “Christian Eriksen is back on the pitch, not yet in the team training but I expect him in the coming week, [or] weeks, back in team training so will be available for games again.”
Eriksen has been United’s best creator from the centre of the park this season. He amassed nine assists from the number eight role until January.
His return should be a huge boost for the Red Devils for the season run-in as they look to finish in the top four of the league as well as win more trophies.
