Fulham to sign Dutch defender

Van Ewijk wanted by Fulham
Football Transfer Centre

Fulham have sent their chief scout to monitor the progress of Dutch right back Milan van Ewijk, and the Cottagers are very hopeful that a transfer can be wrapped up before the January transfer window’s close. 22-year-old full-back van Ewijk joined his current club Heerenveen in 2021, after spells playing for Feyenoord’s youth squad, Excelsior and ADO Den Haag.

In The Netherlands, van Ewijk is very highly rated and is expected to challenge duo Tyrell Malacia and Denzel Dumfries for a spot in the Holland national side for years to come.

Fulham have a strong scouting network in the Eredivisie, and are confident that a transfer fee can be agreed before the end of January, with the Premier League side set to pay in excess of 5 million euros to sign the defender.

The Cottagers spent big this year to sign Issa Diop, Joao Palinha, Andreas Pereira and Kevin Mbabu, with the former failing to impress manager Marco Silva to date.

Other clubs have been monitoring the situation of van Ewijk, including PSV Eindhoven and Borussia Monchengladbach.
