Leeds United have officially made a bid for 1899 Hoffenheim forward Georginio Rutter, with the English Premier League side tabling a bid of 15.9 million euros for the talented Forward. Rutter, 20, has impressed in the Bundesliga since his arrival from Rennes in 2021 and is a player the Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch is familiar with, having seen the France-born youngster in action in the Bundesliga whilst coaching RB Leipzig.
The player asked to sit out of training and Hoffenheim’s next game amidst Leeds United’s interest, and Rutter will push for a transfer before the end of this week. It is understood an agreement will be quickly reached between the player’s club and the Elland Road outfit.
Hoffenheim director of football Alexander Rosen told the club’s website: “Georgi is confronted with a major issue that occupies him intensely,” Rosen said on the club website. “He’s a very young man, so it’s understandable that he’s concerned about the current situation.
“From our side, this is about dealing with a young person responsibly and so we have decided that he should not train fully with the team at the moment.
