Manchester United are reportedly looking to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya during the summer transfer window.
The Spaniard has declined a couple of contract offers from the Bees and he is ready to pursue a bigger challenge this summer.
Raya has publicly spoken about his desire to play in the Champions League and talkSPORT claim that United could sign him.
David de Gea has been the Red Devils’ undisputed choice in goal this term but he has been prone to making errors every now and then.
Meanwhile, his distribution has also been average over the campaign and Raya could be seen as an upgrade on him ahead of next season.
Raya could be signed for a fee in the region of £40 million. He could initially play as a back-up to De Gea before replacing him.
De Gea’s current deal expires at the end of the campaign but talks are underway over a short-term extension with a huge pay-cut.
