Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been named as the Premier League Manager of the Month for January.
The Spaniard has transformed the Gunners’ fortunes in the current campaign and they are presently five points clear at the top of the league.
As a result, he has received plenty of plaudits from fans and has now won the Manager of the Month award for the third time this season.
The Gunners had a difficult start to January with a goalless draw against Newcastle United but they responded brilliantly thereafter.
The club went on to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 away from home. With the chances at their disposal, they could have won by more goals.
This was followed by an impressive 3-2 win over Manchester United at home. Eddie Nketiah scored a late winner before stoppage time.
As a result, the Gunners still have a decent lead over Manchester City in the title race and Arteta deserves the award for his efforts last month.
