He may be famous for his Michael Jackson inspired goal celebration, but Nestory Irankunda delivered a nod to a Socceroos legend after his iconic first half stunner against Turkey.
The 20-year-old livewire finished a Paul Okon-Engstler through ball with a classy effort in the 27th minute of Australia’s first World Cup clash, slotting the ball into the bottom left corner.
Irankunda then made a beeline for the corner flag, throwing a few punches before a final right hook.

Tim Cahill was a serial corner flag-botherer, with the legendary striker having delivered a flurry of punches after his iconic volley against the Netherlands in the 2014 World Cup.
He also boxed the corner post after scoring Australia’s first ever World Cup goal in 2000.
