Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly pushing to sign Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic during the summer.
The Croatian has been a key player for the Blues over the past four years but he could pursue a new challenge next season.
His current deal expires at the end of the campaign and talks over a renewal have yet to begin. The player is open to parting ways.
A number of Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on him but Sport1 claim that Tuchel would like to bring him to Bayern.
Bayern are expected to sign Konrad Laimer on a free transfer from Leipzig this summer but Tuchel is still keen on Kovacic.
Kovacic played some of his best football under the German tactician at Chelsea and a reunion could be on the cards.
Apart from Bayern, Manchester City are also interested in landing the former Real Madrid during the next transfer window.
They see him as a potential successor to Ilkay Gundogan, who could leave the club when his contract expires on June 30.
