Barcelona have joined Liverpool in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount this summer, according to Sport.
The England international will enter the final year of his Blues deal in July and the club have yet to convince him over a renewal.
Mount is said to be eyeing wages in the region of £250,000-a-week but the Blues are reluctant to pay him more than £150,000 weekly.
As a result, there is a contract impasse and reports claim that the midfielder could consider a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool are already in contact with his representative but it is now claimed that Barcelona could enter the pursuit of the playmaker.
Chelsea remain hopeful of finding a breakthrough in negotiations, but they may be forced to sell him if the stand-off continues.
It has been reported that the Blues could demand a fee of around £50m to part ways with Mount if they can persuade him to renew.
